Today was the first day of an entire year of having church from 11-2 rather than 9-12, like I had last year. Sleeping in was quite nice. The only drawback to this schedule is that now I have to help take out trash and put chairs away. Still, I think it's worth the sleep.
I really want to make a music video to one of my favorite Relient K songs, Faking My Own Suicide. Only problem is, the only boys I can see pulling off the sweetness the song calls for have actually been suicidal. And I'd feel absolutely awful if I asked someone who had actually been suicidal to sing about faking their own suicide. That's just not a nice thing to do. But that leaves me with no actors, which is not a problem I ever anticipated having, as my school is full of them. What a pickle.
Second semester starts on Tuesday, and I really wish it wouldn't. It's not just that I'd rather not wake up at 4:30 every morning, or that I'd rather not pretend to find meaning in post-modernism. I'm going to have to take P.E. again. Curse these graduation requirements.
Last night, I watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets with my mom and sister. The trio was absolutely adorable, though the first signs of Emma Watson's eyebrow spasms did start showing. It was fun to point out all the things that ended up being really important later in the series. The "Dobby, never try and save my life again" line yielded quite a Oh-my-goggles moment.
My best, favorite, cutest, littlest, smartest, only sister, Ariel, has started her own blog (after a bit of pleading from me). It lives here.
